谭长涛医生在诊务繁忙的情况下，还一直在学习提高，参加了吉林省第一批优秀中医临床人才培养项目，参加了第四批全国中医优秀临床人才培训班，在自己学习的同时，还把自己的临床心得、体会、技术公开发表，帮助更多的人解除病痛。在吉林省青年科学论坛，长白山论坛发表过多次的讲演。基于这些，谭长涛医生的医术受到了众多民众的信任，在专业上被认可，成为了中华中医药学会老年病分会委员，中国民族医药学会特技联盟理事，吉林省中医药学会四象体质专业委员会副主任委员，并被国家人力资源部门晋升为主任医师，当选为延吉市十八届人大代表。
